Authorities of Mekong Delta Vinh Long province have granted license to the Saigon-Vinh Long Beer JSC to build a VND1.565 trillion (US$103.5 million) brewery in the locality.
This is the project with biggest investment so far in Vinh Long, said the provincial People’s Committee’s Chairman, Pham Van Dau, said.
The project will be carried out on 50 hectares in Tan Vinh Thuan village, Tan Ngai commune of Vinh Long township in this April.
The brewery has total capacity of 100 million liters of beer per annum.
Once operational in 2012, the brewery is expected to contribute around VND500 billion (US$31.25 million) a year to the province’s budget.
Vinh Long’s total budget collection reached VND712 billion (US$44.5 million) in 2007. The province expected to increase to sum to VND825 billion (US$51.56 million) this year. (Pioneer)
