A 16th international exhibition to showcase medical and pharmaceutical products, entitled Vietnam Medi-Pharm 2009, will open at Friendship Culture Palace in Vietnam capital city of Hanoi from May 13-16.
The Vietnam Medical Product Import-Export Joint Stock Co (Vimedimex) and the Vietnam Fair and Advertisement Co (Vietfair) will co-organize the event.
The event will attract 350 companies involving in medicine and pharmacy-related business and production activities from China, India, Pakistan, France, Belgium, Canada, South Korea, Japan and Holland.
The event aims to raise capacity for local firms in developing production, expanding joint venture and strengthening the quality of healthcare services.
This is a good chance for these businesses to seek for their partners and business opportunities.
Hospitals in Vietnam reportedly spend up to 90 per cent of their funds on imports of medicines, according to the World Bank. (Trade & Industry)
