Vietnam Capital City Aims to Attract US$4B FDI Next Year

Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi targets to license 330 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects valued at US$4 billion in 2010, the Communist Party of Vietnam said on its website.
 
Of the sum, the city expects to license new projects capitalized at US$3.5 billion, said Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Nguyen Van Tu.
 
The city targets to disburse US$8 billion of FDI next year, Tu added.
 
This year, the city expects to license 300 FDI projects worth US$3 billion, standing in the top five localities in luring in foreign investors. (CPV)
