Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has agreed to host the mid-term Consultative Group (CG) Meeting 2010 in Phu Quoc Island of the southern province of Kien Giang, the government said on its website on December 15.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), the World Bank (WB) and concerned agencies were assigned to make preparations for the meeting.
The PM has also asked the MPI to carry out the commitments made at the CG Meeting 2009 held on December 2-4 in Hanoi.
At the CG Meeting 2009, international donors pledged $8.063 billion in aid for Vietnam next year, the record high to date.
Of the sum, the World Bank pledged $2.498 billion, Japan with $1.64 billion, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with $1.479 billion and the EU with $1.082 billion. (chinhphu.vn)
