Trade between Vietnam and Japan was valued at $9.6 billion in the first nine months of this year.

The two-way trade is forecast to rise 12.5% from a year earlier to $18 billion this year thanks to the Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (VJEPA) effective from Oct. 1.

Vietnam’s key exports to Japan are apparel, computers and electronics, wood furniture and plastic products while its imports are motorbikes, machinery, electronics, steel and engineering products. (VNS)
