International Exhibition & Fair Service (IMAG) of Germany will cooperate with National Agency for Science, Technology & Information (NASATI) of Vietnam to organize an international exhibition for renewable and decentralized energy solutions (Enerexpo) in Hanoi between March 17 and 19.

Co-organizers of the expo will be the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the state-run Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN), the state-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) and Vietnam Energy Institute.

A large number of companies from nine world leading countries for renewable energy will introduce their advanced solutions and equipment for producing solar, wind, hydro, bio and geothermal energies at the three-day expo, including Schott Solar, Vestas Asia Pacific Wind Technology, MWM Asia Pacific and Avantis Energy.

Currently, renewable energy accounts for just 1% of Vietnam’s total power capacity, or 12,000 MW. The country expects renewable energy to make up 3% the national total power generation capacity by end this year and 5% by 2020. (Vietnam Economic Times)
