The expo, under the theme “Towards a sustainable Vietnamese agriculture” will display both domestic specialty and unique products such as ornamental plants and handicrafts, and foreign ones from Hunan Island in China.

Several activities including scientific seminars, meetings with farmers, and an exhibition on agricultural achievements will also take place during the expo.

On the occasion, the Agriculture and Trade Promotion Centre (ATPC) will launch an e-commerce gateway funded by the Danish Government with the aim of improving farmers’ competitiveness and help them gain access to consumers.

Nguyen Van Thang, ATPC director and head of the fair’s organizing board, said that the event will promote agricultural development, expand consumer markets and improve production efficiency and competitiveness.

This is also a good opportunity for businesses to promote their trademarks and seek domestic consumers and foreign partners, the director added. (Vietnam Economic Times)
