The governing People’s Committee of Dak Lak province said the Central Highlands-based province approved four non-government organisations (NGOs)-funded projects in the first six months of 2011, including the British ActionAide, French FRF and Japanese NPOTIA. Currently, Dak Lak has 14 NGO programmes and projects. As of June 2011, they disbursed US$493,910 of the total budget of US$807,120 in 2011, or 61.2 percent of the full-year plan.
Underway programs and projects are helping local people solve many social and economic problems such as literacy, livelihood improvement, gender equality, women's and children’s rights, healthcare improvement, human resources training.
