Lam Dong Attracts HCM City Investors

On September 14, 2004, Lam Dong People’s Committee organised a meeting with potential investors in Ho Chi Minh City to introduce trade and investment opportunities in the province. Mr. Huynh Duc Hoa, People’s Committee Chairman pointed out that the province will focus on the exploitation of resources in plantations of flowers, vegetables, tea and mulberry for processing and export, in minerals such as bauxite, kaolin, in the manufacture of construction materials, and in the development of tourism.

The province will develop its infrastructure, in particular upgrading Lien Khuong airport into an international airport, building Dau Giay - Da Lat highway to reduce travel time on the HCMC - Dalat route from 6 to 4 hours, shortening Highway 727 (Nha Trang - Dalat) from 250 to 138 km, and developing infrastructure in the Loc Son and Phu Hoi industrial zones. The province offers preferential treatment to investors and is fully responsible for site clearance to facilitate investment.
