To provide the best conditions for workers to promote their capacity and play a role in local development and give priority to developing a qualified and skilled workforce for companies, Vinh Phuc province has paid special attention to improving workers' livelihoods, including worker housing.

On June 1, the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee held a conference on the implementation of the Regulation on coordination between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee on the execution of an investment project on construction of a 4-ha trade union institutions in Ba Thien Industrial Park, Binh Xuyen district to provide accommodation for 3,000 people. According to the plan, the project will consist of a sports center, worker houses, parking lots, playgrounds, trees and sports fields.
At the conference, representatives from relevant bodies of the province discussed progress, obstacles and difficulties in project execution. The project investment was already approved and no problems have been found so far. Regarding land compensation for site clearance, four households have not received compensation for 1,388 m2 of agricultural land.
To bring the project into operation soon and meet housing needs of workers in industrial zones, Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee Vu Chi Giang told relevant agencies and localities to focus on solving any emerging problem regarding land compensation and site clearance to speed up the project implementation.
