Vinh Phuc currently has 19 industrial parks approved by the Prime Minister with a total area of over 5,200 ha. Among them, nine operational industrial parks accommodate 447 investment projects, including 97 domestic projects and 350 foreign-invested projects. In addition to building synchronous modern infrastructure, developers have paid attention to creating green space, protecting the environment and improving the health of workers.

Ba Thien II Industrial Park
Mr. Vu Kim Thanh, Deputy Director of the Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board, said, clearly being aware of the importance of building a green, clean and beautiful environment and landscape in industrial zones in the province, the board planned to beautify and plant trees along internal roads and required investors to dedicate at least 10% of land for trees, water surface and roads. Investors and tenants also thoroughly understand the importance of building "green lungs" in industrial parks and adopt many practical actions for this purpose as well as protect the environment, improve workers’ health and upgrade surrounding residential communities.
Always aiming for green and sustainable development, Sumitomo Corporation of Japan, the investor of Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park, has focused on investing in green trees, lawns and ornamental plants to create “green lungs” and ease bad factory effects on worker sentiment. The firm dedicated 20% of the area for trees, water surfaces and roads. The industrial park currently has many shade trees and an environment-friendly landscape against environmental pollution. Besides, the corporation invested to build three canals with a total length of 3.6km, which not only drain rainwater and prevent flooding but also store water for irrigation and ecological balance. Tree planting and caring for the industrial environment are now essential responsibilities of each company. In the coming time, Sumitomo will continue to improve the landscape to make the park more refreshing and less polluted, while improving its aesthetics and increasing its attractiveness. Environmental friendliness is one of the important factors that make Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park an attractive destination for Japanese investors and large corporations in the world.
Sharing about the importance of environmental protection in industrial parks, a representative of An Thinh Vinh Phuc Construction Investment Co., Ltd, the infrastructure investor of Binh Xuyen Industrial Park, said: Currently, 95% of tenants in Binh Xuyen Industrial Park are foreign-invested, including Piaggio Vietnam (Italy), Kohsei Multipack and Sunsteel (Japan), Hannam (South Korea), De Heus (the Netherlands) and Prime Group (Thailand). Thus, environmental quality is always one of the important tasks. Ensuring environmental quality as committed to tenants builds up the prestige of infrastructure investors and facilitates them to expand operations.
Responding to the green life movement, Cammsys Vietnam Co., Ltd, based in Ba Thien Industrial Park, is a wholly South Korean-invested manufacturer and processor of electronic components and grows trees and lawns on its campus. This helps cool the air during hot days and improve the health of workers. In addition, the company has a football field and a resting area for workers to arouse the spirit and regenerate health after stressful working hours.
Aside from minimizing greenhouse effects and creating a green, clean and beautiful landscape environment, building a "green" living environment in industrial parks has positive effects on the feeling of employees after stressful working hours. In the coming time, Vinh Phuc will continue to pay attention to investing in planting trees, and forming green, clean and beautiful environmental landscapes in industrial parks, while giving priority to attracting projects with advanced environment-friendly technology in order to successfully achieve green and sustainable development goals.
