At the workshop “Identifying Potential and Development Orientation of Phu Tho Province after the Merger for the 2025-2030 Period”, Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, said that the province has set out eight groups of tasks and development orientations for socio-economic growth through 2030, including developing Phu Tho into one of the nation’s major industrial centers in high-tech, electronics, automobiles, and motorbikes; establishing and expanding a high-tech industrial park to attract emerging, high value-added industries such as chips, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence, with the former Vinh Phuc area serving as the province’s industrial hub; leveraging its role as a gateway between Hanoi and the Northwest and its proximity to Noi Bai International Airport to build Phu Tho into a regional hub for trade and logistics; positioning Phu Tho as a leading destination for eco-tourism, leisure, cultural-historical tourism, festivals, and sports with international branding and competitiveness; promoting agriculture along high-tech, organic, circular, and high-value directions linked with building a modern, civilized new countryside; and focusing on developing growth regions and economic corridors, strengthening regional linkages, and making effective use of development space.

Director of the Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support Center Bui Hong Do delivers remarks at the event
Proposals in investment promotion and business support
At the conference, Bui Hong Do - Director of the Provincial Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support Center - reported to the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee on upcoming activities and proposed solutions to implement investment promotion programs and business meetings.
Tran Duy Dong agreed with the proposal to organize a specialized investment promotion conference with Korean enterprises in Phu Tho; to hold a province-wide investment promotion conference and a business dialogue conference to resolve difficulties, promote production and business, and attract further investment. He also assigned the Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support Center, in coordination with the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee, to develop a process for implementing promotion and enterprise support activities, continue improving the investment environment, and strive for double-digit GRDP growth in 2025 and the following years.
A central hub, breaking through to the future
At the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of departments and sectors provided input on the province’s investment promotion documentary, expected to be titled “Phu Tho - A Central Hub, Breaking Through to the Future”, with a duration of 6-7 minutes.
The film presents the province’s competitive advantages in geography and scale: an area of more than 9,300 square kilometers, a population of over 4 million; connecting the Northwest with Hanoi, Noi Bai International Airport, and major seaports. This “diamond” advantage opens up major opportunities in transport, logistics, and investment attraction, making Phu Tho an unmissable destination on Vietnam’s map. The film also highlights the province’s multi-sector development orientation, the government’s commitment to accompany enterprises, and visuals of industrial parks and clusters under development.
Delegates praised the professionalism of the consulting unit, while suggesting the film should focus more on aspects of interest to investors: natural and social conditions, labor, investment environment, and transport infrastructure; supplement data on development potential; and create lasting highlights for investors.
In his directive remarks, Tran Duy Dong stressed that the investment promotion film should reflect the investor’s perspective, highlight breakthroughs in institutions, infrastructure, and human resources, and use vivid visuals, dynamic sound, and memorable data. The film will be produced in multiple languages, with narration by native speakers. Looking ahead, priority will be given to showcasing images of industrial production, services, tourism, alongside the commitments and presence of provincial leaders.
