Ninh Thuan province has great potential for developing industry thanks to abundant natural resources. However, in the past years, most projects in the province are small in size and fragmented. Therefore, the development of concentrated industrial parks (IPs) and industrial complexes has become an urgent demand.
The province is developing two industrial complexes of Thanh Hai and Thap Cham. The Thanh Hai complex has an area of 26.75 hectares, which has been filled with six projects. These include a project on producing granite stones with a capacity of 72,000 square metres per annum, a 15,000 pile per annum spun concrete project, a 3,000 tonne per year kaolin processing project, a 1.5 million litre per year wine production project, a plant for making garments for export with a capacity of two million products per year, a inox, zinc plated and electrostatic painting steel project. The Thap Cham complex with an area of 23.48 hectares and completely developed infrastructure facilities has attracted seven enterprises.

After the two complexes, Ninh Thuan province has planned to more IPs, including Phuoc Nam and Du Long. The Du Long IP is located in Loi Hai and Bac Phong communes, Thuan Bac district, just 20 kilometres from Phan Rang – Thap Cham town in the south. With a convenient location, near the national highway 1A, the trans-Vietnam railway route, and just 30 kilometres from the Ba Ngoi port and 40 kilometres away from the Cam Ranh airport. In the future, there will be a railway route for cargo transportation from the IP to the Ba Ngoi port. With an area of 530 hectares, the IP will boast such industries as electronic assembly, hi-tech, automobile manufacturing and assembly, agricultural mechanic, construction material production, farm-produce and seafood processing, and consumer goods manufacturing projects.

The Phuoc Nam IP, with an area of 370 hectares, is located in Phuoc Nam commune, Ninh Phuoc district, near the national highway 1A, the trans-Vietnam railway route, just 20 kilometres away from Phan Rang Thap Cham Town in the north, ten kilometres away from the Ca Na tourist site and the Ca Na port in the south. The IP will boast such industries as electronic assembly, hi-tech, automobile manufacturing and assembly, agricultural mechanic, construction material production, farm-produce and seafood processing, consumer goods manufacturing, garments and footwear making projects.

So far, the Hoa Cheng Long Duc Phong Group of China has set up a joint venture with the Hoang Quan Consultancy, Trade and Real Estate Service Company to register its investment in the development of the Du Long IP and is perfecting a project on the building and doing business with infrastructure facilities of the IP for the Ministry of Planning and Investment to consider for approval. The project is expected to be implemented this year. The Phuoc Nam IP has been approved by the Prime Minister to be developed. Accordingly, the IP will have an area of 151 hectares in the first phase. The Trung Quy Ninh is perfecting a project on building infrastructure. The province is accelerating procedures for site clearance.

There are other advantages, including abundant labour force, for industrial development in Ninh Thuan province. The province has vocational training schools, national electricity supply network and stable water supplies, as well as certain areas of land for the building of residential areas for workers in IPs.

The Hoang Quan Company is calling for other major investors from China to invest in Ninh Thuan province.
