Asia Bankers to Gather in Hanoi to Discuss Risk Management

About 500 banking managers from Asia, Oceania and the Middle East will attend the Asian Banker Summit 2008 in Hanoi from March 16-19.

The summit, co-organized by Asia Banker and Vietnam Bankers Association (VNBA), will discuss issues that are transforming the banking industry today, such as risk management, governance, technology, operations and regulations.
 
Participants in the event include governor of Vietnam’ central bank Nguyen Van Giau, former U.S senator Paul Sarbanes, Scotland Royal Bank’s former president George Mathewson, Swiss former president and now Swiss Re director Kaspar Villiger, and adviser to the Governor of the Bank of England Alastair Clark, as well as the world leading banks as HSBC, JPMorgan Chase and Standard Chartered.
The Asian Banker Summit has convened annually since 2000 and is Asia’s foremost event on transformational issues in the financial services industry.
