American International Group (AIG) Life Insurance Ltd. Co. or AIG Life Vietnam opened its new sales office in Hanoi on January 13.
The new office with its 1,500 employees and agents is evidence of AIG’s commitment to providing high-quality insurance products and services to Vietnamese customers, said AIG Life General Director Jamie Rains at the opening ceremony.
Last year, the AIG Vietnam was licensed by the Ministry of Finance to increase its registered capital to VND970 billion.
The wholly foreign-owned insurer, which started operating in Vietnam in 2000, has a workforce of 400 employees and 9,000 agents nationwide, serving nearly 300,000 customers.
It has so far sold packages and services totaling VND50 billion for 6,000 Vietnamese clients. (Vietnam Economic Times)
