Thua Thien - Hue to Host National Tourism Year 2012

With the approval of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Thua Thien - Hue province will host the National Tourism Year 2012 under the theme of “Ancient Hue - New Experience.”

 

The event aims to attract more international visitors to the province and boost local tourism. This will also demonstrate Vietnamese tourism strengths to domestic and foreign tourists, particularly regarding cultural heritage.

 

The National Tourism Year-Hue 2012 will be incorporated with the Hue Festival 2012 – a national scale cultural event with international impact – and will introduce and advertise tangible and intangible cultural values, cultural and natural heritages related to Vietnamese capitals through history, where Thua Thien - Hue province is representative, thus expanding friendship relations, integration and development and uplifting the image of Vietnamese land and people.

 

Key events will be organised in peak tourism periods of the year like April, June, July and year-end months.
