Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a socio-economic development master plan of Ninh Thuan province till 2020. Accordingly, tourism is one of six priority economic sectors of the province.
Ninh Thuan will tap local advantages, strengths and potentials to develop highly competitive, high-quality marine tourism, ecotourism and cultural tourism.
The province will develop high-grade yachting tourism by building 100 - 200 marinas at Vinh Hy Bay and Binh Son - Ninh Chu Resort; build high-class Vinh Hy - Mui Dinh Resort, and develop wine-discovering tourism into a Southeast Asian speciality.
According to this plan, the province targets to welcome 1.3 - 1.4 million visitors in 2015, and 2.5 - 3 million visitors by 2020.
