Quan Ho Folk Singing Contest Launched In Bac Ninh

The 22nd Quan Ho folk singing contest has been held as part of the traditional Lim Festival in the northern province of Bac Ninh.
It involves more than 100 singers and musicians from eight folksong art troupes.
Quan Ho folk singing has been recognized as intangible cultural heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
The organizing board expects to see the largest number of people wearing Quan Ho traditional costumes and singing duets.
By January 31, as many as 2,519 people had registered to join the event.
