Int’l Seminar on Urban Development in Asia and Africa Held in Hanoi

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction and the Vietnam Urban Development and Planning Association held an international seminar on urban development in Asia and Africa in Hanoi, on February 15, 2012.

 

The seminar is part of a 4-day programme sponsored by JICA which provides opportunities for African countries to share and learn experiences in urban development in Vietnam. African participants presented problems of urban development that they are facing in West Africa. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Construction shared remarkable achievements in urban planning and management that Vietnam has gained in recent years.

 

The African delegates also visited Linh Dam, one of the well-urbanised areas in Hanoi and paid a technical tour to Nam Son waste treatment facility in Soc Son suburban district of Hanoi.
