Mid-year CG Meeting for Vietnam to Open in Quang Tri

The World Bank said the Consultative Group (CG) for Vietnam will hold its mid-year meeting on June 4- 5, 2012 in Dong Ha City, Quang Tri province. 

 

The meeting will focus on the following topics: Macroeconomic and growth performance; current challenges in poverty reduction in Vietnam, and poverty context and major challenges in application of poverty reduction policies in central coastal provinces; and current situation and major issues in national and province policy applications for natural disaster risk management in central coast provinces.

 

Ahead of the CG Meeting, a separate Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) - a structured and ongoing dialogue between the Vietnamese Government and the business community - will be held on May 29, 2012 in Hanoi. The forum will have two co-chairs, VCCI representing the Vietnamese business community and EuroCham representing the foreign business community in Vietnam.
