Lam Dong province in the central highlands of Vietnam plans to invests VND173 billion (USUS$11 million) in two projects to build a new water plant and to upgrade the Suoi Vang Water Supply Plant in Dalat City.
The new water supply plant will be built at Tuyen Lam Lake, the biggest lake in Lam Dong province, while the Suoi Vang plant will be upgraded to have a capacity of 40,000 cubic meters per day from its current 25,000 cubic meters.
These two projects will be carried out by the Lam Dong Water Supply Company. They are expected to help the resort town of Dalat City escape a looming, severe fresh water shortage.
