The People’s Committee of Lam Dong on April 2 approved a US$180 million project to build a high-ranking resort worth a total investment of US$18 million in the first phase.
The project includes a 36 hole golf course, 250 luxury villas, a five-star hotel with 200 rooms and an entertainment area of 574ha.
The resort, invested by China’s Acteam International Cooperation Company, is located in Da Ron commune, just seven kilometers from Lien Khuong Airport and eight kilometers from Da Lat city. It is expected to come into operation by late 2008.
Lam Dong, 308 km from Ho Chi Minh City, is famous nationwide for its capital city Dalat, which is extremely hilly and offers a harmonious combination of natural scenery and historical sites, with a cool climate. The city is decorated with a variety of beautiful flowers such as rhododendron, cherry, dahlia, daisy, hydrangea, mimosa, and rose.
The locality targets tourism growth at 13-14 per cent between 2006-2010.
