The Singaporean-based Vita Holdings is planning to invest US$41.5 million to build a five-star hotel in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi in early 2008, the first large property project of this company outside Singapore.

Dai Viet Trading Co. will join hands with Vita Holdings to build the hotel, an official of Vita Holdings said, revealing that his company will have a 65 per cent stake in the project.

The property will have 350 luxury suites with modern and convenience facilities.

The project is expected to be completed before 2010.

“It is a part of our plan to conquer Southeast Asia,” Vita chief executive Loo Woei Harng said, adding that the company will seek more business chances in Vietnam in the upcoming time. (Thanh Nien Daily Aug 10)
