Related activities to be held during the festival include boat installation operations and technologies, an international sailboard exhibition, and an international conference on the operation, production, marketing and trading of yachts in Asian markets. Nine professionals and many leading global corporations in the sailboard industry will introduce their products and services. A seminar on developing the Vietnamese tourism brand will also be held, including discussions on improving the Mui Ne brand.

According to the organising board, the Mui Ne International Boat Racing Festival 2010 will mainly take place in Phan Thiet City, with the key area being Mui Ne. Support locations include Tien Thanh and Thuan Quy. The five-day event will be held in various locations like Mui Ne Bay, Doi Hong Hill, Doi Duong Hill, Sea Link and Ham Thuan Nam.

Mr Nguyen Van Thu, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan People’s Committee, said the Mui Ne International Boat Racing Festival 2010 aims to promote the Binh Thuan tourism industry to domestic and international visitors. Also through this event, Binh Thuan province wants to introduce Ham Tien - Mui Ne beach - an ideal sailing and water-skiing zone - to Vietnamese and international travel operators. He said if the festival attracts international tourism companies, investors and sailing companies, it will be an ideal opportunity to advertise Mui Ne as an international centre for entertainment sailing.
