In recent years, Vinh Long Water Supply Company has always been striving to implement flexible solutions to meet water demand of the organizations, businesses and individuals in the area. The quality of water and services are gradually improved. At this time, Vinh Long Water Supply Company is primarily operating in the fields of manufacturing and trading water, bottling water, construction consulting, installation of infrastructure works, and investment in water supply projects. The company is managing and mining eight water supply systems with total capacity of 48,000 cubic metres per day; the company is also expanding into the business line of bottled water products with 5,000 litres per hour.
 
Despite the recent difficulties due to the economic crisis, the leadership of Vinh Long Water Supply Company, with its creativity and determination helped the company to achieve the annual targets beyond expectation. With its efforts, the company has contributed to the improvement of the infrastructure of the water supply system, which helps increase the number of water users and raise awareness of the people about saving and using water efficiently.
 
Up to now, the company's water supply network has covered 96 percent of nominated areas at the rates of 91 percent of total capacity or 130 litres per person per day with water supply during 24 hours; the water quality meets the national standards. Pursuant to the Decree 117/2007/ND-CP of the Government on the production, supply and consumption of water, Vinh Long Water Supply Company has signed an agreement to supply water for local areas in the province. According to this agreement, the company will provide clean water to meet daily needs, production and services in these areas, including the industrial zones in the province. For any investor in these areas, Vinh Long Water Supply Company is always ready to cooperate and create the best conditions and solutions to supply clean water for the investors.
 
For its efforts and achievements, Vinh Long Water Supply Company has been voted one of 10 outstanding companies and rewarded with the second certificate of the Province People's Committee. The company was also honoured to be awarded Second and Third Grade Labour Orders by State President, Certificate of Merit by Prime Minister and "Community Product" award by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
 
Besides its successes, the company is also facing with major challenges. The cost of water production is always affected by price fluctuation of fuel and inputs to produce clean water, but the water price has not been adjusted timely, causing the company to bear the increasing risks of loss. Environmental pollution leading to contaminated rivers causes high costs and difficulties in producing clean water. Such difficulties always make leaders and staff of the company work hard to supply clean and safe water and safe for consumers.
 
Mr Dang Tan Chien, Director Vinh Long Water Supply Company, said, in the future, to better meet the needs for water in production and daily life, the company will not only improve product quality and services but also expand its urban water supply system to improve the water supply capacity from 48,000 cubic metres per day to 58,000 cubic metres per day. The company also continues to invest in equipment and machinery to upgrade its factory at local points to ensure better service for all customers. In addition, the company will also focus on making effective use of current water supply systems to provide clean water to all of the urban population with 130 litres per person per day and implementing safe water supply projects to ensure drinking water taps.
