The Mozart Culture Month opened in Hanoi from September 8, 2006. The month-long event began with a concert in Hanoi Opera House attended by leading artists from Germany and Vietnam. The concert featured a selection of some of Mozart’s most famous works and melodies to pay tributes to the genius of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The festival will proceed with the premiere of the opera The Magic Flute, which is performed by artists from the Hanoi Conservatory and the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra guided by Austrian conductor W. Groehs. After that, the Cosi fan tutte opera will performed by Swedish and Vietnamese artists. All these works are presented in German.
The festival will wrap up by a film about the life and career of Mozart, which is scheduled to be on screen in the first week of October.
