Malaysian Corp to Invest US$964Mln in Works in Hanoi

GAMURA BERHAD, a Malaysian Corp will invest US$964 million to build Yen So park and wastewater treatment plant in Hoang Mai district of Hanoi.
 
An agreement was signed by representatives of the municipal government and the corporation on August 14.
 
Of the sum, US$711 million will be poured into upgrading current Yen So park into the largest one including a 146-ha cultural park and hotels, trade centers, and services, covering on 34-ha area.
 
The remainder of US$253 million will be used to build Yen So wastewater treatment plant according to Building-Transferring (BT) form.
 
The plant is designed to treat 195,000 cubic meters of wastewater daily, equivalent with a half of total wastewater in the city.
 
The two works will be kicked off in October 2007, and is scheduled for completion before October in 2010. (The People, Urban Economy)
