Int’l Yacht Festival:Helping Spread Binh Thuan Sea Tourism

 

Binh Thuan is known for beaches of beauty spots, pure and untouched environment such as Ca Na, Cu Lao Cau, Mui Ne, Hon Ba, Doi Duong etc and historical – cultural remains with unique architecture such as Duc Thanh remain, Poshanu tower, Co Thach pagoda etc. All are factors that help improve Binh Thuan tourism at the moment and in future.

 

With advantage to develop sea travel, Ham Tien-Mui Ne beach, Binh Thuan is considered one of the best beaches in Asia by International Yacht Association. Annual international competitions of kite surfing, windsurfing here attract lots of professional competitors from many countries. Recently, Mui Ne – Binh Thuan is chosen by International Yacht Association to host first windsurfing competition, opening series of windsurfing events in many countries in 2011. International Yacht Festival in Mui Ne – Binh Thuan – Vietnam 2011 taking place from March 17^th to 20^th helps exploit advantages, enrich strengths of Binh Thuan sea tourism, partially honoring Vietnam sea tourism. The festival also creates conditions to build Binh Thuan sea travel brand, being a practical activity opening event series to respond to National Tourism year 2011.

 

According to Mr Duong Van Phuc – Chairman of Sai Gon Investment Company, to help promote development, provincial tourism potential, the company has built up the 1^st dock and marina for sailboats and cruisers in Vietnam meeting international standards and expected to put in practice in 2012. In addition to being used as a dock supporting international sailing festivals in following years, it helps exploit new services in Vietnam such as small-size cruisers for rent, windsurfing instruction – one of new features in Vietnam sport and tourism in future.

 

With agreement to develop of enterprises, firstly provincial ones, Binh Thuan tourism has many conditions to speed up in future time. Mr Nguyen Van Thu – Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan People’s Committee said, the province will create favorable conditions, encourage domestic and foreign investors in studying and investing into tourism in Phan Thiet, especially projects of exploitation and related to sea travel in order to make up newly interesting products, meeting higher demands of domestic and foreign tourists.

 

In development strategy of Vietnam tourism in next period, sea travel is considered the core and put priority. Actually, show tourism activities, there are up to 70 percent of activities and turnover of Vietnam tourism coming from sea. Travel is also one of five breakthrough directions to develop Vietnam marine economy. With strategy of putting priority in investment, construction, development of sea products and services, Binh Thuan will surely contribute much to the success of national tourism year 2011 with topic of island tourism.
