The Hanoi Farmers’ Union said that, as part of efforts to protect the rural environment and respond to climate change, since the beginning of 2026, Farmers’ Union organizations at all levels have actively raised awareness among and mobilized members to adopt environmentally friendly production models.

Grassroots Farmers’ Unions have established 114 models for environmental protection and climate change response; set up nearly 70 “Farmers Participating in Environmental Protection” clubs; developed six models applying biological products to treat household organic waste and agricultural by-products for use as fertilizer for crops, as well as to address environmental pollution from livestock farming in farming households; and organized 10 training courses and 20 legal education and dissemination sessions on waste collection and rural environmental protection for more than 4,000 farmer members.
Farmers’ Union organizations across the city have also directly planted and coordinated the planting of 45,964 trees at village cultural centers, along rural roads, village roads, alleys, and in public areas, contributing to improving the landscape and environment in the locality.
