Hanoi International Trade Fair to Open in October

To welcome the APEC 2006 Summit, the annual Hanoi International Trade Fair (Hanoi Expo 2006) is set to be opened at the Vietnam Exhibition and Trade Fair Centre at 148 Giang Vo Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi by the Hanoi’s People’s Committee and the Hanoi Trade Promotional Centre in cooperation with the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre (VEFAC) from October 6-10.

 

The trade fair, covering some 5,000 square metres in A1 and A3 houses and outdoor spaces, showcased products manufactured by nearly 300 Vietnamese enterprises, joint ventures and foreign firms. Characteristically, the trade fair only admits typical enterprises and entrepreneurs of Hanoi, good exporters and foreign-invested joint ventures.

 

Thirty free stalls with a total area of 270 square metres in the A1 building are designed for international organisations, residential agencies and trade promotion organisations of APEC economies. The exhibits are key industrial products of Hanoi, IT products, trade and service, tourism, construction and real estate, handicraft and interiors, agriculture, high-tech and processing.

 

Last but not least, the trade fair will select and present the “Thang Long Cup” title for outstanding enterprises meeting the requirements in revenues, profits, tax payment, export value and environment protection. The prize-awarding ceremony is scheduled at 19:30 on October 08, 2006.
