Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi was estimated to earn US$3.24 billion from exports in the past eleven months of this year, up 24.3 per cent on-year, said the Hanoi Trade Service.

The figure accounts for 8.2 per cent of the country’s total export turnover during the period.

In November, the capital exported US$329.2 million worth of goods, up 1.2 per cent on-month.

At present, Hanoi exports commodities to around 60 countries and territories throughout the world including the major markets of ASEAN, China, Japan and the EU.

The service, however, has not yet revealed the city’s import spending during the time.

The city aims for annual export growth of 18-20 per cent during the 2006-2010 period, reaching US$6.5 billion from exports in 2010.
