After arriving in Dak Lak - the most dynamic province in the Central Highlands, Maritime Bank - Dak Lak Branch quickly became an active lender for companies, business households and individuals to expand production and business operations.
Maritime Bank - Dak Lak started official operation on May 15, 2010 in Buon Me Thuot City, the capital of Dak Lak province and the largest city in the Central Highlands. The city has been recognised to have the best planning in Vietnam by the Prime Minister. At present, it is striving to become a first-grade centrally governed city by 2015 from a provincially governed one as the new status will enable it to attract more residents, investment capital and large projects, thus resulting to a higher demand for financial and banking services. Maritime Bank - Dak Lak was set up to serve all essential needs of a dynamic and growing city. Accordingly, the branch provides all modern banking products and services for corporate and personal customers in Buon Me Thuot City in particular and Dak Lak province in general.

Maritime Bank - Dak Lak Director Nguyen Ba Ngoc said after more than six months of operation here, the branch lent VND20,000 billion to agricultural sector, especially coffee, and to businesses and farmers to stabilise production and business activities. According to Mr Ngoc, Maritime Bank - Dak Lak will do its utmost to improve the quality of service, ensure strong and sustained growth and bring best benefits to customers. The branch is always committed to providing services with broad flexibility and high quality, meeting the diverse demand with value added services, and ensuring absolute safety and security. Furthermore, the branch is also very active to approach and care customers so as to generate new practical products for general corporate and personal customers. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are also the target of the branch.
According to the roadmap, in 2011, Maritime Bank - Dak Lak will increase its chartered capital by VND10,000 billion to boost its reciprocal capital for expanding credit activities and financial investments, ensure the safety of medium- and long-term capital, and guarantee capital adequacy ratio of the branch. More importantly, the purpose of raising the registered capital is to support the agricultural sector, particularly coffee, more actively and effectively, and to share efforts in building Buon Me Thuot City into a global capital of coffee.
Inspired by very positive business results in the past six months and strategic solutions, Maritime Bank - Dak Lak will try to keep high growth and contribute to the realisation of the goal of making Maritime Bank a leading modern and professional lender in Vietnam.
