Tien Giang Eyes US$1 Billion Exports

The southern province of Tien Giang reported earnings of US$757.3 million from exports in the first nine months of 2013, up nearly 15 percent year on year and equal to 76 percent of the full year plan. Given this rapid growth and robust third quarter (growth of 13.5 percent over the second quarter), Tien Giang is capable of achieving and exceeding the export target of US$1 billion in 2013.

 

Currently, Tien Giang has expanded exports to all continents, especially Asia, Europe and the Americas. The province has also approached new markets like Oceania, Africa and the Middle East.
