Vietnam-U.S. Joint Venture to Build Wharves worth $179M in Quang Ninh

Cai Lan International Container Port, a Vietnam-US joint venture, will start building three wharves worth a total investment capital of $179 million at Cai Lan port in the northern province of Quang Ninh in the third quarter.
With the construction of the wharves No. 2, 3 and 4, the port is expected to receive ships of DWT 40,000 each and provide more logistics services.
Cai Lan, the first deepwater seaport in northern Vietnam, has eight wharves and can handle from five to eight million tons of cargo annually.
Cai Lan International Container Port is a joint venture between Cai Lan Port Investment Joint Stock Company and SSA Holdings International-Vietnam, an affiliate of the U.S. Carrix Group. (Transport)
